What is the difference between home theater seats and media room sofas?
The home theater chair is specifically designed for cinema rooms where more furniture can be placed depending on the number of people using it. Basically, these are chairs with adjustable footrests, backrests and/or headrests, so you can get comfortable and fully enjoy the cinema experience.
A media room sofa can not only be placed in a cinema room but also in a living room or a lobby.
Please note that the home theater chairs always have a higher headrest, the position of which can be adjusted, but cannot be removed.
Contrary to this, the media room sofas have no or a lower headrest.
The height of the headrest is an important detail to take into consideration if you want to have the perfect audio experience.
What is the difference between a theater chair and a longchair?
For theater chairs the motorized footrest is optional, while this part of the longchairs is already longer. The latter is also available in a motorized, adjustable version, which can be used to adjust the knee and back support. Please be aware that the footrest of the longchairs cannot be completely closed or set to a basic chair position. It is also good to know that the back of a non-motorized longchair cannot be reclined either.
What should I consider when placing theater seating?
Primarily it depends on your taste. You also have to take into consideration how much space you have available, how many people are going to use the theater room and how many seats you plan to install. You have to find the best solution, so you don’t have too many or too few chairs.
If you wish, you can prioritize and make a decision on whether you want an armrest or storage compartment, so in this way, you can save space if necessary.
Our recommendation is to keep a few centimeters away from the walls/stairs and avoid placing the furniture from wall to wall/stair, even if you don’t want to walk next to the rows, because it just doesn’t look very appealing.
In the case of having more than one row please note that the length of a fully opened chair is 175 centimeters, so the comfortable distance between two pieces of furniture placed behind each other is 2 meters from one backrest to the other.
We recommend placing the last row 15 centimeters away from the wall.
The recommended platform height is 25-30 centimeters between two rows.
What is the recommended minimum distance that has to be kept between the screen and the first row of seatings?
The distance between the screen and the first row of seatings depends on the size of the screen and on your preferences. There are no restrictions.
What is the difference between the single, the dual and the triple drive?
The single drive operates the footrest and the backrest simultaneously with the same button. You can request an extra drive to control the headrest.
With the dual drive you can set the footrest and the backrest separately.
Having a triple drive means that you can control the footrest, the backrest and the headrest independently from one another.
What does modularity mean?
To find the best seating layout for you will no longer be a challenge because our seats are built up of smaller units. Every chair can be set up in multiple ways, from straight or curved cinema seating rows to L and U shapes, with or without armrests. You can also decide on the quantity of seating parts and armrests. In addition to the standard specifications, customized dimensions can be requested.
Can I install the furniture by myself or I would need help to do it?
No tools or screws are needed to install the furniture. Each part (seats, armrests, etc.) is packed separately. Thanks to the printed manual and video tutorials, anyone can easily install them. However, please note that due to the weight of the elements, we recommend that at least two people should carry out the installation. Also, the help of an electrician might be needed.
How long would it take to manufacture my order?
In general it takes about 12 weeks to complete an order. In case of special requests the process can take up to 14-16 weeks.
How do I get my order?
You can pick up your furniture at the logistics center in Germany. If you prefer, we can arrange shipping. Please note that the price doesn't include the shipping costs. We only deliver the ordered products to your doorstep and won't install them.
Can I provide my own fabric or material?
Yes, you can provide your own fabric or leather if you wish.
When do I have to pay?
You pay 50% of the price when you place your order, and the remaining 50% must be paid before you pick the product up at the logistic center or before we hand it over to the shipping company.
