MOOVIA MEMORY FOAM AND GOOSE FEATHERS

MOOVIA has paid special attention to continuous innovation since its foundation. Besides our snack armrest versions presented a few weeks ago, we successfully performed developments on the cushioning of the seats of our chairs too. The basic concept was to create a movie theatre armchair whose seat provides an adequately soft feel and a high level of comfort that is also flexible, retains its shape and does not sink in.

The solution was a specially prepared upholstery provided by a Danish partner company made of a blend of memory foam and goose feathers. The external feather coating makes the seat soft and comfortable while the internal foam helps it regain its original shape after we get up.

Visitors could try this new technology on our STOCKHOLM model at this year’s Integrated Systems Europe 2020 trade show. In order to show the difference, we manufactured one of the armchairs with foam layers and the other one with a blend of feathers and foam. Feedback from our guests was positive and, although there were some who preferred the simpler foam version, the majority agreed that the new technology significantly increased the comfort of our models.

We also extended our portfolio with a new accessory; a support cushion equipped with magnetic technology. Due to its magnetic properties, the cushion can easily be attached to the head-, back- or footrest, providing extra support on the desired surface. The product is available in multiple colours and, upon demand, we can make it with customized seams and embroidery and it can also be ordered with a unique logo.
